About the theme
What is Frameshift?
A Shopify Online Store 2.0 theme for gaming hardware stores: keyboards, mice, headsets, monitors, controllers, chairs and PCs. It has three presets (Frameshift, Arena and Void), 45 sections, an interactive keyboard section and gaming performance blocks for product pages.
Do I need to write code or install an app?
No. Every section, block and setting is edited in the Shopify theme editor. The theme does not depend on any app. Shopify’s free Search and Discovery app is optional and adds product filters, related products and complementary products.
Which Shopify plans does it work on?
Any plan that supports Online Store 2.0 themes. It uses standard theme features only.
Can I see it live?
Yes: open the live preview. It is a visual demo of the theme with demo products; checkout is not connected.
Presets and design
What is the difference between the three presets?
Each preset sets colours, fonts, corner shapes, buttons, cards and motion together, and ships its own homepage, product page and collection page. Frameshift is premium and immersive, Arena is high-energy for esports and launches, Void is minimal and quiet.
Can I switch presets later without losing my content?
Yes. In Theme settings, Experience mode, pick another preset. Your text, images and products stay in place. Changing the preset changes the look only; homepage section layouts come from the template you have.
Can I change colours and fonts?
Yes. Theme settings has colour schemes (every section can use any scheme), heading and body fonts from Shopify’s font library, corner style, buttons and card style.
Can I turn the animations down or off?
Yes. Theme settings, Motion: choose Cinematic, Balanced, Subtle or Off, and switch individual effects on or off. Visitors who set Reduce motion on their device always get gentle fades only.
Store features
How do the FPS benchmarks work?
Add the FPS benchmarks block to the product page and enter your measured results in a multi-line text metafield, one game per line (Game | Resolution | Preset | FPS). Products without data show nothing. See the documentation for the exact format.
Does it support variants, swatches and pre-orders?
Yes. The variant picker offers buttons, swatches or a dropdown, shows variant images and updates price and availability. Pre-order products show a pre-order button label.
Does it have a slide-out cart, quick view and quick add?
Yes. The cart opens as a drawer (or a full cart page, your choice) with order notes, discounts, a free shipping goal and upsells. Product cards have quick add and quick view.
Does it work in Arabic and right to left?
Yes. English and Arabic storefront text are included and right-to-left layouts switch on automatically for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu. Editor labels are in English.
Mobile and speed
Is it fast on phones?
Mobile motion defaults to light reveals only. Images are responsive and lazy loaded, card lists become swipe rows and large effects are simplified on small screens.
Why does a section show placeholder artwork?
It has no product, collection or image selected yet. Choose one, or turn off Demo content in Theme settings.
